Mockey is a general AI mockup generator. Broad catalogue across apparel, print, packaging and devices, no install, no signup just to try it. It will happily mock up a product you have no supplier for, which is either useful or misleading depending on what you are doing.
Printful's generator only covers Printful's own catalogue, and that is the entire point. The blank in the mockup is the blank Printful will print and ship, so the image and the product cannot drift apart.

I am sad to see, that Mockey falls in the same trap as many others, by not having a variety of real people as models. No older people 35 or even older. One Granddad Pic does not make up for that. I sell Items to an audience within the range of 35-55+ and i can not advertise with all those fresh and hip young persons.

Are Mockey and Printful both free?
Both let you make a mockup without paying, which is not the same as both being free. Mockey has a free tier with paid upgrades above it, mainly for resolution. Printful's generator costs nothing because you are paying it to print and ship; stop fulfilling there and it stops being your tool at all.
Can I use Printful mockups if I do not print with Printful?
You can generate them, but it is a bad idea for live listings. The mockups show Printful's specific blanks, so selling a different supplier's garment against them misrepresents the product and invites returns.
Why do my listing images still need work after either one?
Because both hand back the bare product. Anything your listing carries on top of it, a title, sizing, a logo, is added afterwards in another tool. Custom Mockup Generator generates the set with that already placed, which is a different job from choosing between these two.
Which is more accurate?
Printful, without question, and only for its own catalogue. It renders the exact item it will print. Mockey covers far more products but makes no promise that any given blank matches your supplier's.
