A mug is the first thing here that is not flat. The printable surface is a cylinder, so the middle of your artwork faces the camera and the edges curve away and compress. Straight lines bow, text at the sides narrows, and the handle sits at a fixed point that the design has to work around. A flat rectangle laid over a photo of a mug gets all of that wrong at a glance.

Can I use this for a company logo rather than a design?
Yes, and a mug is one of the products where that is the usual case. Centre the logo on the front rather than wrapping it, since a wrap puts part of any mark out of view, and keep it inside the middle four inches where the surface is flat enough to stay undistorted.
What size should a mug design be?
2475 × 1155 px at 300 DPI is the full wrap for a standard 11 oz mug. If the design is a single centred motif you need far less than that, but building at wrap size means you can move it left or right later without resampling.
Why does my text look squashed at the edges?
Because the surface is curved and you are seeing it in perspective. Only the middle of the wrap faces the camera directly; everything either side compresses toward the silhouette. Keep small text in the central four inches and it stays readable.
Which side does the handle go on?
Right-handed presentation is the default because it is what most listings use, and it leaves the artwork unobstructed. If the design is asymmetric, generate a left-handle version too so left-handed buyers can see it.

Which file formats can I upload?
PNG, JPG and WebP. PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result on every product, because a JPG carries a white rectangle that shows up against anything the artwork does not fully cover.
