DeviceFrames tiers the licence rather than the toolset. Its free Community plan is a full editor, and what it withholds is permission: output carries an attribution requirement. Standard removes that and adds video and transparent backgrounds. Extended exists specifically so you may produce derivative work and charge an end user for it.
Angle sells you the pack. Seventy-nine dollars once, plugins for Sketch, Figma and XD, and it keeps working indefinitely. The limit is time rather than permission: free upgrades for newly released devices run for one year, after which the library stops gaining phones.
So the two age in opposite directions. Angle's licence never lapses and its devices do. DeviceFrames' devices stay current and its licence lapses the moment billing does. Which of those is worse depends entirely on whether you are producing work you own or work you deliver to somebody else, and that is a question about your business rather than about mockups.
